Everything you need to know before your first configuration
VISION PLANNER is a free web application that lets you configure premium HELLA outdoor shading products - including lamella roofs and pergolas - in photorealistic 3D. You can customise dimensions, fabrics, frame colours, and features, then preview your configuration life-size on your own terrace using augmented reality.
No. VISION PLANNER runs entirely in your browser - no app installation required. Simply open the link on any modern smartphone or desktop computer and start configuring.
Yes. The 3D configurator works on both desktop and mobile devices. For the AR preview, use Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android - the app is fully optimised for touch and mobile screens.
The 3D configurator works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. For the augmented reality preview, iOS Safari and Android Chrome are required.
For 3D configuration: any modern browser on desktop or mobile. For AR: iPhone or iPad with iOS 12 or later (Safari), or an Android device with Android 8 or later and ARCore support (Chrome). Desktop browsers should be up to date for the best experience.

Tips for designing, customising, and sharing your products
Yes. The configurator includes a geo-accurate sun simulation. Set your location, date, and time of day to see exactly how sunlight and shadows will fall on your shading product - helping you choose the perfect configuration for your terrace orientation.
Depending on the product, you can set length, width, depth, and height down to the millimetre. Choose from HELLA's fabric library, select frame colours, add textile or glass side elements, configure LED lighting, and adjust slat angles on lamella roofs - everything is rendered in real-time 3D.
Yes. You can share any configuration via QR code or a direct link. The recipient can view the full 3D model and - on a compatible mobile device - explore it in augmented reality, without needing an account.
Open your smartphone's native camera app and point it at the QR code displayed on screen. A link will appear automatically - tap it to launch the AR experience directly in your browser. No separate QR-scanner app is needed.
Use the reset option in the configurator toolbar to return all settings to their defaults and start fresh. Your previously saved configurations in the gallery remain unaffected.

Yes, the application is completely free for all users - including 3D configuration, AR preview, PDF export, and sharing. No subscription or hidden costs.

Troubleshooting augmented reality on your device
AR requires Safari on iOS (iPhone or iPad with iOS 12 or later) or Chrome on Android (with ARCore support). Make sure you allow camera access when prompted by your browser. If it still doesn't work, try updating your browser and operating system to the latest version. No separate app is needed - the AR experience launches directly from the browser.

Privacy, GDPR, and managing your personal data
Absolutely. All data is hosted on servers in Austria, kept private, and never shared with third parties. We are fully GDPR-compliant.
We collect only the minimum data required for the app to function - such as your email if you register, and your saved configurations. Visit our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling and your rights.
View Privacy PolicyWe comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation by providing full transparency about data use, requiring explicit consent, and giving you the right to access, export, or delete your data at any time.
Navigate to your account settings and scroll to the Delete Account section. You can request account deletion, which starts a 30-day grace period. Your account and all personal data will be permanently removed at the end of this period. You can cancel the request at any time before then.
